Have you observed the quarrel between the husband and the wife? The husband is mad because he is not getting what he thinks he wants. The wife is upset because she is not getting what she thinks she needs. They fights over stupid and trivia things from picking a vacation place/date to the sex to the remote control of the TV. Both husband and wife think they have been hurt and deceived by each other. Where is the love? Both want. Both are like beggars begging for love from each other. Nobody bothers to give. Everybody feels upset, tense, and empty.
The couple may get a divorce. The husband may decided to leave the relationship. He may want to get a new partner. But the question is not of finding another person, the question is of love. Love fulfills. People are just excuses. His relationships with the next person depends all on him because whatsoever he was doing to the previous partner, he will go on doing the same thing with the next partner. The problem is not in another person though it appears like it is.
Is the basic foundation missing? Are we too busy building a house without a foundation? A structure without a foundation will collapse. And we know how many times our love has failed and yet some of us still repeating this again and again. Love is a state of being. Love is not a need but a sharing. And until we are able to be alone with ourselves, how can we share?

I’m not only observed, but I’m also in the battle too. Husband & wife need to take pre marriage classes offer by Jesus and passed with licenses before continue. :)
Marriage has its ups and downs. Husband and wife have to adjust to those ups and downs knowing that they will exist in the next marriage.
I think it’s about acknowledging our own imperfections and stepping back from the emotional tension. It’s also about sharing what it is about one another that might “step” on the foundation and cause it to tremble.
This post is great. Love is giving. But there isn’t just love in the relationship. There are also our imperfect self, which demands attention and everything else. I guess we just have to find the balance. Giving too much, too frequently and you’ll run out of love, too.
Have a good weekend.
Hehe, I agree. Have a good weekend chi..
What if my foundation is the remote control?
…and the hurt passes on…always.
That damn Ron, always missing the point! lol

Sometimes I think about love and try to understand it. I can understand parts of it. Honesty, trust, forgiveness, compassion, care, fun, laughter, a number of things (maybe even the remote control or the thermostat). Is love for a spouse or family different from love for our fellow man? If love is a state of being, a giving of ourselves, a verb not a noun, then how is love different for different people? Or is it? Maybe it is just the intensity that is different. I don’t have answers, but I think about it fairly often. Who can understand love? Obviously not me, but I wouldn’t want to live my life without it.
are you and Ron fighting over the remote control again?? Does Ron need to go to counceling?
