i think the first one is trying to say, don’t worry too much about the things that will happen tomorrow. just let things happen, and everything will fall into pace itself.
it reminds me of a passage i read before:
“You don’t have to feel like you have the ultimate enlightened nature. That’s not the point. The point is trust which is surrender. That for me is the essence. If you can trust what the master is saying and study and try to bring the teaching back to yourself in difficult times, and train your mind not to fall into its habitual patterns, if you can just be with what is happening, with bare attention, afterawhile you notice that nothing stays around very long. Not even negative thoughts. Especially not our bodies. Everything changes. If you leave it in its place, it will liberate itself.”
I may be totally off
To live in the day and let God take care of tomorrow it is hard sometimes but I work at it. Judi
Nice. I agree with Judi and eternal on the first quote.
How are you,?
They contradict one another. I agree with the first and not the second.
The kingdom of God is here but you’ll miss it if you’re thinking about the past or the future.
1st: Don’t borrow trouble. (Most of it never comes to pass anyway)
2nd: In a biblical context it means ‘once you’ve professed to be a Christian, if you turn back you are not worthy of heaven’. I, of course, totally disagree with this. True religion is the life you live, not the creed you profess. You can be worthy of heaven and be something else entirely or no official religion at all. It’s what’s in your heart, not what’s in your head. Living a spiritual life has nothing to do with adhering to a lot of religious doctrines, no matter how good they sound on the surface.
To live life fully is to live life in the now!
I agree with thejourneyhomeward…together it says “Live in the moment”
How are you Trimtab have not heard from you in a while hope all is well. Judi
You’re right. Most of the pictures were captured at San Diego, CA. How is your weekend?
