Betrayal
There is only one betrayal and that is to betray your own life. There is no other betrayal. If we continue to live with abusive people including husband, wife, parents, friends without love, we are destroying our own opportunities. God will not ask what sins we have committed; he will ask what opportunities for happiness we missed. This is really beautiful: We will be responsible only for those opportunities that were available to us and that we missed.
Remain faithful to yourself – that is the only faith that is needed – and everything will be good.

We have to be consistently faithful to ourselves before we can be faithful to anyone- or anything- else.

^^Ron is right.
In addition, we should all have a “purpose driven life.” Afterall what’s life without a purpose?
Yes! ^^My purpose is to be faithful to myself.
Thank you. I needed to read that.
Yes. But that’s probably the most difficult thing to do, depends on one’s ego i think.
Remain faithful in yourself…do you think that is possible for everyone?
These are especially beautiful thoughts I appreciate you, Love to you, Judi

RYC There needs to be more Trim Tabs in the world.
I am blessed to not struggle very much with codependency, but it sounds like that is what you are desribing. The idea of putting someone else above you to the point where it hurts you, and will eventually snuff your spirit out, your zest for life. but, what I haven’t gotten down is taking care of myself. I am working on it, but its difficult, and I take some steps then fall flat on my face. But God picks me up, dusts me off, and says not to keep trying but to actually keep going. One day I will grow strong enough to not fall so much.
happy weekend! I hope this coming week is great for you!!!
